Positive leadership is great, can lead to more productive workplaces and happier people but it’s not all plain sailing. There are tough things to deal with and the pressure can seem relentless. I designed an award-winning course, that was registered with the Chartered Management Institute, and can bring those principles and techniques to your organisation and to you personally.

The optimist has better everything: career, health, relationships. It’s not so easy to be optimistic when you’re struggling at work, experiencing bullying, having a tough time. CIPD
I trained as a coach with the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) in a two-year distance learning programme with the Oxford School of Coaching and Mentoring and qualified before 2010. I have consistently been coaching senior managers and executives since then. I also was trained as a Happiness at Work practitioner by iOpener Institute, which has researched what happiness at work consists of. Happiness at work is consistently shown to an important precursor to high performance

Developed a Programme
Building on this experience, I developed a programme for leaders to create the conditions that could assist high performance. I was fortunate enough for this to be registered with the charted Institute of Management, and then in 2018 to win silver in the Training Journal Awards for the Best Private Sector Programme.

Extensive Experience
In parallel with this experience I have used my early training in technology and as a project manager to work in a variety of organisations. I have worked extensively financial services culminating in leading a project in financial services information and data provider to apply artificial intelligence to extract data from complex legal documents.

Team Leadership
I used my own experience of leading teams to try the techniques which I was advocating in my leadership programmes, so that I had real world experience to apply to learning situations. I developed an approach to working with teams to energise and empower them to perform at their best. This approach can be applied to many different team events and situations, and I would welcome the chance to discuss with you.
